FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Do I need any prior experience or medical background?
Not at all. Our courses are designed for everyone, including people with zero medical knowledge. Our instructors start from the basics and make sure every student feels comfortable before moving on.
How long does certification last?
Our BLS and Heartsaver CPR/AED/First Aid AHA certifications are valid for 2 years. We recommend renewing before your card expires to stay current with the latest guidelines. CEU Connect will notify you prior to your card's expiration.
When do I get my card?
Same day. Students who successfully complete the skills check and knowledge assessment receive their certification card before leaving class.
Will my certification be recognized by my employer or licensing agency?
If your employer requires AHA certification, then yes. Our courses follow AHA guidelines, which are widely accepted by hospitals, schools, childcare agencies, OSHA-compliant workplaces, and most state licensing boards. If you're unsure, check with your employer or agency before registering, or contact us and we'll help.
Do you offer renewal/refresher courses?
Yes. If your certification is expiring (or already expired), we offer renewal courses that are shorter and more focused than initial certification classes. Contact us to find the right option.
Do you offer group or corporate discounts?
Yes. Groups of 6 or more receive discounted pricing. Contact us for a custom quote based on your team size and course selection. We can come to your facility to certify you.
What if I don't pass the skills check the first time?
No problem, our instructors will work with you until you feel confident. You'll have the opportunity to practice and retest before the end of class. Our goal is for every student to leave certified and prepared.
How many people are in each class?
Our class sizes typically range from 6 to 12 students to ensure every student gets adequate hands-on practice time depending on the course. We can accommodate up to 24 students with prior arrangements.
